Threads of Time is a turn-based JRPG inspired by Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy. Travel the ages with your party from early prehistoric era to the far future in this charming, modernized 2.5D pixel adventure built in Unread Engine!

Exploration Sketches

The owners of RIYO Games asked me to start the initial character designs for their new IP. These sketches were the first designs to kick start each character's visual direction.

It was important the characters fit the "Final Fantasy" aesthetic while staying cost-efficient for
2D Animation.

Colour Keys

I did some colour key explorations for the Main Female Protagonist after finalizing a few more sketches. My clients decided on a mix of option A and C.
